Institute for AgroEcology
Our interest is on applied research in the areas of agriculture and environment for nearly 30 years now. Our main focus is on environmental chemistry, environmental systems, and environmental technologies.
In the Environmental Chemistry Department, we analyse and assess the impact of the behaviour of chemical substances that enter the environment either intentionally or unintentionally.
The Environmental Systems department investigates the interrelations between ecological processes on various scales, from standardised test systems in the greenhouse to complex analyses at landscape level.
Environmental Technology is committed to making practical improvements to a variety of agricultural processes. Via the reduction and utilisation of residual products, emissions and production residues, it also generates new both ecological and economic alternatives.
