Research on the reduction of copper containing pesticides in organic farming
The search for alternative, environmentally friendly methods to reduce or even avoid the use of copper-containing pesticides in organic farming, represents a major challenge.
The production of olive oil results in large amounts of polyphenol rich residues. The environmental technology department is doing research on the utilization of these residues to control fungal diseases in organic viticulture.
The aim is to reduce or completely avoid the use of copper containing pesticides in the future.
